Tons to learn and plenty of technical challenges. Plenty of opportunities for OT.

Cons

Shift bids are seniority based. As an apprentice you will likely be on nights... For years. Not the most organized operation. One's ability to get parts, equipment, and support is largely up to them. The culture is much like the military, so if you know, you know. Not many surprises when you put it in that perspective.
