Pros

- Genuinely caring coworkers. - Valuable hands-on clinical experience and bedside manner practice. - 3 x 12 hour shifts per week and flexible scheduling.

Cons

- Coworker culture varies between offices (some more hostile than others), but is largely driven by exhaustion, passive-aggressive avoidance, and guilt. - Microaggressive or bigoted providers are not formally or seriously reprimanded by management. - Providers are frequently verbally abusive, quick to talk behind coworkers' backs, pick favorites, and will bully staff to the point of quitting. Underhanded gossip is preferred over honest face-to-face constructive criticism. - Lack of transparency or care from higher management regarding work conditions, fair wages, and company culture. Management exists for pleasantry and not efficacy. - Training is the burden of other employees and is wildly inconsistent and even dangerously inaccurate between offices. - No considerations for higher pay and meager compensation for new-hire trainers. Little to no opportunity for vertical movement. - High employee turnover rate.

Pros

good coworkers and convenient locations.

Cons

HR fired 12 receptionists within a week because they wrote a letter to HR asking for a salary increase for all receptionists. HR told at least one of them that they were firing her for "attempting to unionize", and then fought the unemployment benefits by claiming it was a HIPAA violation.
