As for our project managers, we have two types, we have managers who are responsible for the project/client (relationships and financials) and people, and we have people care managers who are just responsible for people. With all managers, regardless of the type and if we hired them externally or we promoted them from within the company, they go through a series of trainings. Everyone goes through people care manager training, which is 15 - 20 hours of training on how to manage people. Project managers also go through additional training on how to manage contract financials and work with clients. Of course, with all organizations and positions, you can find out that someone is not the right fit and if so, we do our best to help resolve the issue.
