Pros

DevRev has all the foundations for becoming a great company. Leadership is highly experienced, has taken a previous company to a successful IPO, and cares deeply about its employees. The company has maintained a relatively flat management structure and gives plenty of opportunity for growth. Every project I've worked on has had an immediate and significant impact. There are also plenty of opportunities to learn new technology while working with very talented team members. And, on top of all of this, compensation is very generous and comparable to a 1000+ person company. Although we are still a very early stage company, the opportunity and benefits of working here heavily outweigh the risks!

Cons

Diversity of our workforce is lower than average, meetings at night are not uncommon if you're based in the US and work with the team in India or vice versa, and there is a lack of established processes (but this may not be a con for everyone)

Pros

Having been employed in a couple of tech companies from semi-large to small, having built things from hardware to software, joining DevRev felt like finding home and--even though we're a startup--the feeling of stability for the first time in 10 years for me. You're given free rein here to build and execute. This level of trust is amazing; the collaboration and inclusion are genuine. You have a lot of experience to lean on, too. The seniors/leads have decades of experience building enterprise-grade products. Yet they're still hungry for bringing on the next paradigm shift. The leadership really has assembled a veteran team, and the talent and focus have really shown in product development. Of the founders themselves, I could speak to their proven successes and vision, but I'd rather talk about something that matters more to me: their character. Of honesty and empathy, the founders actually walk the walk. They'll care about you as a person and your happiness, rallying to your cause in times of need. As this culture comes from leadership, it pervades through the rest of the company, and it just reinforces to me that we're on the right path.

Cons

I usually pride myself on giving critical feedback (even more so than positive feedback), but there are no real cons as of this point. It truly is an amazing place. I don't know if it will last or be the same in 5-10 years, but I think we're all operating against the long-term horizon and hopefully can keep living the principles of our culture here and now far into the future.
