Great product, amateur upper management

Pros

The product is terrific, and it really helps control diabetes. Most of the lower and middle level co-workers are great.

Cons

Clueless upper management. Direction changes every few months. Pay is below industry standards, especially for female employees. Huge salary gender gap. High employee turnover, probably because workload is very heavy. Poor communication between departments, and lots of jockeying for position between managers. Company really has only one product, and no interest in developing others. The product has a limited lifespan. Don't come here if you are looking for a stable, long term job.

Thank you for sharing your feedback on working at Dexcom. I'm glad you see the value of the product and its impact on our patients. However, I disagree with your assertion that our pay practices are influenced by gender. We regularly review total compensation so that our top performers are paid appropriately for their high performance. We are also committed to a diverse workforce, and take great efforts to ensure pay differences reflect appropriate work-related factors. And if you believe that there is a problem in your department we would certainly like to address it, and I would encourage you to get in touch with your HR representative to discuss.

Pros

Decent pay, benefits are above average.

Cons

Supervisors are in serious need of proper training. The training for the position is a joke, it is the sink or swim approach.

Pros

This company is growing and improving at such a fast pace that it is exciting to work here. I've only been here for a year and a half and I have been promoted twice with my salary increasing twice. This company rewards hard work and I love that.

Cons

Some of the downsides of working here is that there is only a 5 minute grace period in the beginning of your shift or you are considered late. Then your supervisor will give you a half occurrence. It kind of makes you feel like a child getting into detention. It's really ridiculous to always be worried about getting in trouble for being late or leaving too early.
