Pros

The people are awesome. Co-workers exert so much energy to help others live a better life. Product is innovative and industry leading. It changes people’s lives!

Cons

Can’t speak for other departments but Technical Support is a disaster. The mgmt running the department is terrible. Their inability to lead has caused for a hostile work environment. And they wonder why people call in sick all the time? Are they serious? Their incompetence in learning the product and procedures has caused a great deal of confusion and added stress among the representatives on the frontline. The job is stressful as it is dealing with people’s lives and having to ensure documentation is spot on. Their ineptitude to lead along with their failure to communicate effectively has caused for representatives to lose faith in leadership. And don’t even get me started on the favoritism and political, bullying tactics (that’s about all they can do well). It is the worst I have seen. There is no light at the end of the tunnel as long as the current mgmt continues to lead. I feel like I’m jumping from a moving train before it derails.

Pros

The product is great, and the company's growth is fast-paced. In certain depts and circumstances, this means there is a lot of opportunity to find your passion and get ahead.

Cons

Dexcom salaries and wages on the whole are below market value. HR told me as much when I negotiated my current wage. Sales, Tech Support, and QA for the most part have incompetent leadership that cover up their shortcomings by hiring and promoting friends and driving out any talent, intellect, or experience that may have accidentally slipped in. I repeatedly see hourly workers who can't do as good of a job as they'd like because they are held back by their Supervisor or Manager. When I was first hired here, a coworker told me "Get everything they tell you in writing. They'll change the rules without telling you and blame you for following the rules that they did tell you." Facilities upper management has an outright contempt for anyone below manager level. I've heard them browbeat people and make threats countless times, publicly shaming people for not making the coworker they just had lunch with swipe their badge when entering. They also send company-wide emails when someone parks poorly.
