Pros

This company looks great on a resume and has an incredible product. They have a snack bar in the building and I made great relationships with my coworkers. Their ergonomics program is amazing, and that department is incredibly nice and really do care.

Cons

This is related to tech support- they are open 24 hours. Make sure to eat and go to the bathroom before work because you will be glued to the phone and your desk all day long. I was reading other reviews and they are spot on. Be prepared for your family and personal life to suffer. You will work Christmas Day, thanksgiving and any other holiday. The patients are nice, but are not so nice after holding 30-60 minutes to talk to you! Management says that if they get mean (which they do) you can give them a warning. But you will get verbally abused and cussed at. Everyone calls in sick because you are so stressed out and overworked your immune system is non existent. They also call in sick because when you can, people go out drinking together at night to forget about their awful day and what their life has become. There are cliques and favoritism through the roof. Just sit at your desk and mind your business. Starting pay is slightly higher than other companies but you have to work so much. You will know HR staff by first name. Also parking is awful, be prepared to walk. If you need to sleep on your lunch break it takes forever to walk to your car. Security guards are nice though. They expect you to complete calls and documentation of the call in a timely manner but it takes FOREVER to document and you have to ask the patient a ton of questions. My advice to you- take the job, but apply at other places while you work here.

Pros

24/7 environment means schedules can be flexible. Hourly, non-exempt and plenty of overtime means you can make a lot of money if you put in the extra time. Most patients that call in are nice people. Other employees are nice and helpful, management should be more or less avoided.

Cons

24/7 environment means you probably won't get the schedule you want. They more or less ignore schedule requests and place you where they need people, regardless of what you want. Little room for growth - they hire people into higher positions rather than promoting existing employees. Not a Technical Support role, more of a Customer Service role. They won't hire you for this position if you don't have 24/7 availability, meaning if you have any sort of life outside of work you'll have to choose.

Thank you for sharing your feedback on Dexcom and for your work in supporting our patients. I understand the the difficulty in balancing schedule requests with the need to have 24/7 support.

Pros

It's a job, in this economy at least this company is hiring. Good pot luck, a party at Christmas

Cons

Terrible pay Terrible hours No time off Degrading treatment of 'temp' workers No room for advancement They work people into the ground, even elderly ladies in their 60's and 70's expected to work on their feet 12hrs a day 6 days a week or risk being fired. Upper levels treat 'temps' as disposable and they do not listen to problems, they just want results, if that means never being with family and working for minimum wage then that is this company's priority Forced overtime and weekend work They keep 'temp' workers as temps for years and years to avoid giving them any holidays or decent pay Many coworkers were promised permanent status if they worked 6 days a week 13hrs a day, none were made permanent, they've been working like this for a year now

Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry your experience with Dexcom has not been positive. I know that we are converting many current temporary manufacturing employees to full time employees and also hiring additional temporary employees. I hope these efforts improve both your situation and perception of Dexcom.
