Moving in the right direction

Pros

DiSTI has some solid, large opportunities coming, both in DOD and in commercial space. The people are super smart. The managers care about us. We work with cool tech like Unity, 3DS Max, VR and AR. There are fun company events.

Cons

Some of the policies and security are heavier than in other companies. Maybe because its a DOD company. The leadership is not as good about communicating status to us, but they seem to be getting better.

Terrible Management makes any job unbearable.

Pros

Small company. Small company product line results in narrow focus of skill sets. Willing to hire people with limited experience.

Cons

Most of the upper management and leadership are just terrible people. Product line is antiquated and highly specific leaving almost no room for advancement or growth. Management acts very unethically. Not flexible in any way.

Pros

You get a professional, small business environment where you work on pretty big programs. The company focuses on developing its people as well as its business. DiSTI is a leader in their markets and manages growth so they don't have to do layoffs. They are hiring the right management, implementing the right strategies, and organizing to handle more growth of business and employees. Innovation and success are recognized and rewarded often. Employees are helpful and friendly.

Cons

It's been around for 20+ years and has grown slowly. Corporate strategy was lacking in the past. They are in a growth stage so organizations and assignments change more often than might be expected.
