Pros

There is nothing good about the company.

Cons

CEO is a Steve Job wannabe—growth through acquisitions, poorly integrations. Constantly cutting people.

Pros

Flexible time off policy 2 off weeks a year for company closure Global workforce

Cons

Huge turnover rate (lots of people leave before working 2 years) Bad corporate culture Healthcare plans get worse every year Bonuses don’t get fully paid A lot of bureaucracy making it slow to progress initiatives Management’s hands are tied and all decisions are made by C-suite Product decisions are based on personal opinions and not on what customers truly crave. It’s seemingly easier to upswell the existing product offering than do solid research and come up with something customers truly crave. Most of senior leaders ( both those that been there for 10 years and those started a year ago left) apart from Chief of operations and chief of people. Despite the change the newly hired are the same caliber. Diversity in senior leaders is lacking, it’s unclear why the board is not doing anything. Company values are all about earning money and serving the customer, nothing about employee well-being, collaboration, mutual support, investment into upskilling current workforce. More and more ways of tracking employee work are introduced under the cover of finding gaps in productivity further diluting trust. Senior leaders openly lie during town-halls, do not own up to it later. The questions asked during town-hall are hidden and CEO handpicks which ones to answer, so employees cannot see what others are asking. Incompetent HR team, last minute communications, poorly thought through policy implementation and lack of empathy (get over it or get out attitude). Company is focused on replacing everyone currently employed in North America with workers in Europe and India, making the life extra hard so people would leave without needing to do 4th round of lay offs or paying severance.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We’re glad to hear that you appreciate our flexible time off policy and that you value working with our diverse and talented global workforce. Regarding your other comments, they're tough to hear and we’re very sorry that this has been your experience. It does not reflect our goal to provide the support and resources each of our employees need to succeed and feel valued here. With respect to turnover rates and workplace culture, there is natural turnover that often occurs across all levels of the organization following major transitions and acquisitions. We deeply value our team members and their contributions to Diligent, and we’re working to continuously learn and improve our offerings and workplace culture across our locations. Some of the ways we’re doing this are through our dedicated Employee Resource Groups, individualized goal-setting processes, meeting-free days and fun in-office team-building events led by our office leaders and culture clubs. As we continue to scale our team, we’re also working hard to optimize onboarding, training and enablement so our colleagues have the tools they need to grow. In terms of leadership and our current product offerings, we take our responsibility to provide best-in-class products for our customers very seriously. As our company evolves, we continuously evaluate our products and fine-tune our offerings to best meet our clients’ needs. Throughout this process, we recognize that accountability and transparency from leadership is critical. If you have specific ideas on how we can improve in this area or would like to further discuss any of your concerns, I encourage you to reach out to your manager or any ELT member. We’re building something that hasn’t been built before, and we have high ambitions for the impact we can make as a team. We may not always get it right, but we’re working hard to learn as we grow. We truly appreciate your candid review and will take it into consideration going forward. Thank you for all your contributions at Diligent! - Avigail Dadone, Chief People Officer

Pros

Diligent generally offers a welcoming and laid-back company culture. This is notable considering the space in which the company operates and the caliber of clients that we service. There are many opportunities to advance and enter commercial roles in the mid-market and enterprise spaces, which will position you for a successful career at Diligent or elsewhere. Initiative is often rewarded; there are always more responsibilities that you can take on, and from my experience, your extra efforts don't go unnoticed. Members of executive management don't seem especially personable or passionate. However, they exhibit a methodical understanding of the company's trajectory and emerging issues we might face. I don't think it's by sheer luck that Diligent has been able to avoid layoffs thus far in an adverse economic climate (knock on wood). That being said, it's not lost on me that at the beginning of 2021 we did lay off a substantial percentage of our team...

Cons

Disorganization. Over the last few years, we have acquired several companies in the GRC space. Compounding that with a massive restructuring in 2021 and a ton of new hires, Diligent can be a very confusing company to work for. What I mean by that is that processes shift on a weekly, if not daily basis, and changes are often not well communicated to dependent teams. Some of our products are very complex and difficult to service, and in some cases, the people who knew best how to service those products have either been offboarded or quit over the last ~2 years. One of the big reasons of the reorg was to centralize our commercial org so that we had one central Sales and CS team, but then in 2021 we acquired several other companies which brought us back to square one in terms of operational centralization. Therefore, be prepared to be bounced around internally to get things done and answer questions that should be easy. Just try not to pull your hair out, and if you're working in a client facing role, be prepared to deal with some frustrated clients.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your candid feedback and for your many years of service with Diligent. We’re so pleased that you’re seeing so many opportunities for advancement and growth within the business. Even better, that you’re feeling recognized and rewarded for your efforts. There is no shortage of opportunity to take on new responsibilities and challenges and it’s great that you’re finding ways to do this. We’re also glad to hear that you’re enjoying the company culture. We hear your feedback about navigating the organization. As Diligent grows, it can be a challenge to identify the right channels to push through decisions or find information. We are continuing to invest and build new ways to improve operational excellence, and this will be a strong focus for us over the coming year. We will also be taking a look at the onboarding process to see what we can tighten up and improve. Thank you again for your feedback and if there’s anything else we can do to support you, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. - Avigail Dadone, Chief People Officer
