      INCOMPETENT MANAGERS

      There are no pros whatsoever.

      I must say that I have been in the game for quite a while and I have never seen such INCOMPETENT managers . Starting from the Director and going down the ladder. They are clueless , disrespectful, and have no idea about management . They don't have any knowledge of the software/products that Diligent sells ,products that they supposedly "Support" and they are even worse when it comes to Mentoring and managing teams. All the good workers within the Support department have left , no wonder why , the team is getting weaker and weaker but Managers are being promoted. They are very comfortable in their seats getting their fat checks doing nothing except going to office events and leaving their teams stranded . They lie to you , constantly , no development plans , they do not provide support to their agents. It is very sad to see how Managers get rewarded by being lazy and horrible at their job. It is shocking how Diligent allows having leaders and mentors like that .The most toxic environment I have ever experienced. I would not recommend this Department to anyone.

      Wonderful colleagues/business mired by a dismal, incompetent board of directors.

      Well, I still deeply miss all of my colleagues who were exceptional. I doubt I'll find a marketing team with people like that again. There was always a ton of interesting work to do. I learned years of extremely valuable skills and received extensive experience. You want to learn about corporate b2b enterprise marketing? Diligent is the place to do it. I received a generous severance when I was laid off and given ample notice. At the end of the day, I was rewarded for my efforts. Thanks to the caring individuals who ensured this happened. The entire marketing org was filled with smart, caring and passionate individuals. I get sad just thinking about how much I miss them.

      Cons

      Constant mismanagement of projects, timing and resources. (any huge company will have this to some degree) Company is entirely unsure of what it is, what it wants to be and how to get there. When I joined, this was not the case. Get ready to work after hours most days as people will constantly force work on you when it suits them best. This wouldn't have been an issue had I known I'd never amount to anything at this org. I worked here for almost 3 years without ever being promoted but was "celebrated" as a productive employee. YOU WILL BE LIED TO ABOUT YOUR CAREER PROGRESSION EVERY TIME YOU ASK. Don't come here looking for tangible career progression, join diligent for the work experience. It's like McDonald's. Company just spent over a billion dollars just to inevitably fire the employees of the acquisitions a few years down the road... Ask me how I know...

      Poor training

      My group were nice. Some team leads were nice too.

      Cons

      Poor training program. No practical training whatsoever, just weeks of being told to watch videos and do some exercises. Felt completely overwhelmed and underprepared. My own team lead consistently forgot to cc me in on emails, or send me invites for group meetings. Don’t think he knew he was my team lead.

We always want to set our new teammates up for success so they can hit the ground running with practical skills and a strong sense of our company’s culture and values. While we’ve worked to revamp our onboarding programme and have received very positive feedback, there’s always room to improve and ensure consistency across the board.
