Pros

If you are desperate for a job it's easy to get hired.

Cons

Well it's retail, so basically you get all the downsides of working in retail. I apologize if this review is not helpful but I have to post a review in order to review this site. Dillards is like most retail stores. Inconsistent schedules, they push you to get people to sign up for credit cards and you have to meet sales goals; which isn't necessarily a Con if you like selling stuff.

Pros

Good pay..good discount i have meet alot of great people that I work with. Most of them are not there long, it takes a certain kind of personality to deal with working for this company.

Cons

Too many hours on your feet without a break cause they are too cheap to pay for 2 -15 minute breaks. Being treated like a child . Having to try to make your goals while doing stock, markdowns (which are done so stupid), cleaning etc... This company is just poorly run. I don't have a degree and I can see all the mistakes they make, one of the worst is letting the store managers have free rein over thier store, make up the rules as they go.Unfortunately I am not in a postion to leave this miserable place

Pros

-Good co-workers. -Open to let you try new techniques to try to bring in customers and sales. -Only worked part-time so I don't know about the full-time benefits.

Cons

-Too much emphasis on getting people to open credit cards. If you couldn't make the minimum amount required, you were supposed to go to "training." -Too much emphasis on using their very outdated computer system to track customers and their preferences. -Traffic in the store at night was basically non-existant. For someone working part-time, nights & weekends, it was hard to make goals when there wasn't anyone in the store.
