Pros

Pay would be the only thing that would be a pro and it's not that big of a pro if you are in management. But it is competitive for sales associates

Cons

Poor hours, there is always some small holiday that for some reason your area will be expected to do awesome. Little or no praise for a job well done. If you are an associate be aware that SPH changes all the time. Not so much how much you have to make but the rules of SPH. While in managment we have 3 rule changes in less them 6 months. You can get your pay cut for making your sph but not meeting average SPH. At one time our president said you could have 80% of your sph and be okay then it was changed a few months later to 95%. It caused a lot of pay cuts because people that were working hard just couldn't get sales were now expected to make up another 15% in less then a month because of reviews. Crap rolls downhill in a BIG way in this company

Pros

Decent employee discount, Good hours for a retail store, Good starting pay and a few good people to work with.

Cons

The quota system - they say if you work hard you can get a raise but it depends a lot on what area of the store you're in and if you don't make your sales they will cut your pay. They expect you to be a overly aggressive sales person with every customer. Credit applications - They expect us to get customers to open credit accounts, but offer no selling point or benefit to the customer and it's all our fault. But they do trick you into opening one upon employment to get the benefit of the employee discount.

Pros

They paid weekly, so you don't have to wait to get your check.

Cons

They have an hourly sales goal and a credit app goal for everyone... not just those on commission. If you you are under the average sales goal for 3 months then you'll probably get a decrease in pay pending your audit and they have the grounds to fire you if you don't get a credit app in three months... Which is ludicrous IMHO.
