-base rate for cosmetics department is considered decent for retail -environment isn't cut throat like some other department stores because you are not commissioned on every cosmetic sale, but that is different depending on the department -certains departments/areas/brands have better business so you will have an easier time selling and hitting your numbers if you end up in one of those positions

Cons

-business is very slow, so it is very hard to hit the sales per hour number the company set for you, which then subjects you to a pay cut yearly and potentially losing your job -benefits aren't the greatest, can't rely on company insurance
