Pros

The colleagues and team is amazing and I've learned more here than at any other job. The company truly embraces the work from home culture and manager to create a good environment where the team feels united. The middle manager are amazing and really care about the team.

Cons

- Workloads are very high and so are expectations. The CEO is trying to "never do bad work again" by addig more processes and administration to already unmanagable workloads. - Almost 10 people quit or were let go over the course of 6 months I worked there which also causes uncomfortable client relationship. - Many colleagues worked 50+ hour weeks on the regular to get their workloads completed. - Salaries are not very competitive.

Hey this is Garrett! I love your feedback and I wish I could have walked you through all the initiatives the team is working on to address these areas of opportunity As a note, we have tripled in six months do to the quality of the team's work and are scaling responsibly. Here are some of our actual policies I want to highlight for those reading: - You are required to take at least 2 weeks of vacation per year at Directive (not including holiday and our closure from Xmas to New Years.) I don't want "unlimited PTO" to be abused. - No one is allowed to work more then 50 hours a week. We track and will work diligently with you if you are struggling with volume of work. - Salaries are designed to be exceptionally competitive. I can't disagree with your perspective and I don't know who you are, but I hate hearing that you felt underpaid. You are the heart and soul of our business and deserve to be paid for that value. - Directive will always put the quality of our work over everything. You don't have to agree with the approach, but I hope you recognize that the talented team around you and the awesome middle managers are all done in this pursuit. In closing, I am rooting for you and wish you nothing but the best!

Best Agency Experience I've Had!

Pros

- Leadership actually cares about and listens to their employees - the agency has more than tripled over the past few months and of course there are growing pains that come along with that growth. You can tell that the CEO genuinely listens to the employee feedback and does his best to fix whatever he can. - Lots of career growth! If you're motivated and excited to grow, there are a lot of avenues you can take through out the agency - WFH and 100% covered insurance - Amazing coworkers - Great pay

Cons

- Not really a Con but there LOTS of growth right now so some growing pains are occurring. That's expected and overall, good for the agency because that's what's going to give us new processes, new roles, new departments, etc. Overcoming a few bumps in the road now will really benefit us in the long run.

Pros

The CEO is really smart and engaged. There is a clear focus on delivering results for clients, which is what the work is all about.

Cons

The company has grown immensely without the skills to properly build a team and onboard new members. Interaction with mid-level management is schizophrenic - there is great feedback, then you're on the chopping block. There's a lot of poor communication, unclear expectations, and a total lack of support or training. They don't really take the time to know applicants. It is just a matter of acquiring warm bodies, throwing them to inexperienced managers, putting them through a series of poorly structured assessments - then throwing them at clients. There are a lot of red-flags, just pay attention to them. Don't trust anything anyone tells you; trust your gut.

Thank you for the feedback! I completely agree with you that we were under-prepared for the strong response our work received from the SaaS market earlier this year. I do, however, believe that we have made significant progress since July. I strongly believe in our management team and I can visibly see the progress they have made. The part of this that truly breaks my heart is that you felt that you were just a body. I never want you (or anyone) to feel that way. You matter deeply to me and I hope that we can form a deeper relationship. I really wish you got to experience the leaders the way I get to see them. They have a heart for you and it's a damn shame you didn't feel that. I truly look forward to working on these things together!
