DIRECTIVE IS NOT WHAT IT SEEMS

Pros

I had the privilege to work with great employees which whom I trained and deeply care about. That is all. Everyone else is not worth the stress and anxiety that comes from working here.

Cons

Directive only cares about one thing and one things only: THEMSELVES. At the end of the day, the CEO and management only wants people who are going to work 24/7 for them. If you are thinking of building a life outside of work do not, I REPEAT, do not work here. They will use you until you are useless to them. I worked at Directive and grew throughout my department only to have my CEO and management team tell me that I needed to do more because I wasn't doing enough. I'm sorry, what? I solely assisted them with the project phase of our clients and did the best I could within my 8hrs of work. Unfortunately, for Directive, 8hrs of hard work is not good enough. You are expected to do HOMEWORK. By homework, I am referring to working late hours on projects the CEO invents and decides to push over to the team without even consulting anyone to see if this will 1) fit within the department's capacity 2) makes sense for the company as whole and 3) MAKES SENSE FOR THE COMPANY AS A WHOLE. When I tell you they don't care, it's because they really don't. Directive apparently offers "unlimited PTO/sick days", but throughout my time with this toxic company, there was no such thing. If you choose to take a PTO or sick day, get ready to work double to be able to take some days off. Ah, not to mention, if you DON'T take any PTO, get ready to take on the work from people who will be taking PTO (the ones who can take PTO without working OT are the leads and the people in the management team). Directive's CEO needs a good old wake-up call because he expects his employees to work as hard as he does without getting paid the salary he does. CEO, this is YOUR company. Stop trying to force people to work as hard as you would. You should be working harder! As I said, THIS IS YOUR COMPANY. No one else has stocks within this company except for YOU and the management team! Here's my advice to people who are considering this place, AVOID IT AT ALL COST. You are smart and capable of finding something else. Don't buy into what they sell online. They are the opposite of an "anti-agency". Stay clear. But if you are someone that needs to feel valued by what they do for a living and needs to be working all the time to feel like they achieved something in this world than yes this place is made exactly for you.

Directive Response

Hi there! This is the CEO, Garrett. I first want to say thank you for all the hard work and effort you put into Directive. I know that we would not be where we are today without people like yourself. We will continue to learn and grow from this so that you can be proud to call yourself an alumni of Directive.

Pros

They take a unique approach to digital marketing that has been proven to provide results, it's always easier to sell a product/service when you believe in what you sell. Everyone in both the California and Texas offices are incredibly friendly and are always willing to lend a helping hand. The systems they use are top notch and easy to use. Both of the owners are amazing and always open to feedback. Great culture all around and one of the few jobs I've had where I can walk into the office with a smile on my face every time. Absolutely love it here.

Cons

There are no cons, working here has been a blessing.

Pros

Flexibility (Remote work) Growth Opportunities High Level Strategic Work Free coffee and food Great office environment Mentors and Leaders Who Care When I saw all the negative reviews, I felt obligated to write a truthful review. It made me really upset to see someone clearly just trying to hurt Garrett and the company, when he has done so much for everyone who works at the company. I’ve never had a boss or mentor who has trusted me and wanted to see me succeed like Garrett has. We in no way have a close personal relationship, as I’ve only been with the company for a short period of time, but he takes time out of his day to talk about life in and outside of work. For whoever is concerned regarding the culture that has been stated in previous reviews, I assure you that I’ve never felt more a part of a family then working at Directive.

Cons

Newer company, so there are growing pains Every once in a while it can sometimes feel like there is some miscommunication between departments, which can make for work being inefficient, but the directors do a good job of immediately addressing this so that we can continue to grow.
