Pros

Interesting content. Opportunity to travel to interesting places

Cons

Sexual Harrassment is a big problem at this company and its at the top levels. They do the minimum and then penalize the victims by terminating their employment with the company

Pros

The actual physical building was pretty cool and it was located in a relatively fun area of Silver Springs, MD. The projects that I had the opportunity to be apart of where neat as well. Unfortunately, the positives end there.

Cons

The people were HORRIBLE! It was so unprofessional. Some folks would whisper and talk about other employees like we didn't work in a cubicle farm. Everyone could hear, but they didn't care. I remember an incident where I and several other people were waiting for another person to arrive so we could start a meeting. Sidebar: continuous, long meetings where very little is accomplished is a running theme. Anyway, as the group waited, a co-worker initiated a conversation about a former employee who was apparently quite ugly. I never met the woman, but I now know that she was very humble and that everyone wanted to give her a serious makeover. The group laughed and carried on. I couldn't believe their cruelty! I was in greater disbelief that a couple directors were actively participating in this discussion. Shame on them!...Eww! Furthermore, superiors were very poor at training and providing clear instruction. My department was understaffed and the workload was extremely overwhelming. Accordingly, there was NO sense of work-life balance. There were a lot of cliches as well. I found it particularly difficult as a person of color. Surprisingly, I was never reminded of my color like that in any other workplace. I wouldn't suggest working there. It's a last resort only. I wasn't even there 2 weeks before I knew I had to move on.

Pros

Great benefits, mostly fun smart people.

Cons

There doesn't seem to be a solid growth plan in place. Management seems to be ignoring the decline in traditional TV viewing
