- Projects are under budgeted and this causes a gap between the required efforts to properly manage a project vs. how the Projects are sold and what PM workload may look like
- You'll end up with many projects (with little to almost no PM hours budgeted) just to be able to have a 40 hr work week timecard at the end of the week. This leaves you overworked and drained!
- You will be questioned every week when submitting your timecard, you are very much micromanaged when it comes to billing to each project each week.
- There is lots of pressure from above to ensure everything is captured as a CO to client even when PMs may not agree is a Client driven change. Anything to meet the sales margin!
- VERY Heave on the ADMIN process for each Project but NEVER enough sold time to meet all required expectations.
- Sale executives make Profit out of each Project which causes them to be another stressful source for your day to day management of efforts.
- When speaking up about issues and possible solutions, management pretend to be excited about the new ideas but never really listen or apply any action.
- There's no coffee in the kitchen
- Working conditions at office are horrible (when coming in once a week, required)
- There are no office supplies, it is difficult to locate even a PEN in the building
- For an AV company, there's a real struggle with our own systems and tools
