Pros

- The work itself is not difficult and anyone can learn - Teams are generally small and are able to make personal connections - Work from home

Cons

- Management, both higher and lower. Lack of empathy and no care toward employees. - HIGH turnover - Too much is expected of each employee, specifically in this role. Too much work for too little pay - Abysmal training and they're very proud of "throwing you to the wolves" - Absolutely no reward for doing more work than expected. Instead, you are met with condescending remarks and more work thrown your way

Pros

Happiness depends on your manager. Occasional free food (pizza or bagels usually brought in by vendors sometimes by management on special occasions) Free keurig machine with k cups and tea in kitchen. Possibility of going temp to perm. Pay can be decent dependent on role and business of role.

Cons

This review is specifically for DMG at Diversified on Colfax Ave. Extremely high employee turnover. Constant firings. They hire mostly temps in the beginning so employees get fired with no warning. Nepotism runs wild, don’t expect to get promoted unless you have an in. Half the managers and people that got promoted were related or had connections to upper management. One girl was the past babysitter of a higher up and she got promoted to manager. Management is incredibly racist and political. If management decides they don’t like you, there’s nothing you can do to fix it. They act one way to your face and another way to your back. They don’t care about you as a person, only your work. No real HR department so it’s nearly impossible to complain or have anything done. There’s no phone number listed for HR. You can submit an online request and hope a representative sees it and emails you back but don’t expect follow up or real concern. Huge discrepancies in pay. Temporary newly hired employees making as much as permanent staff. If someone lasts over a year or two, it’s a miracle. Benefits are from Diversified corporate - terrible. 15 PTO days a year. No sick time (yes that’s illegal in NJ but they consider vacation and sick as part of the PTO bucket). Insurance very expensive with terrible coverage. No additional perks. Terrible parking. Tiny parking lot in a residential permit parking area. If you get there after 9, be prepared to look for street parking 2-3 blocks away. Departments work in different buildings spread out within 10-15 minutes of eachother. Employees are required to log every minute of their day. Many employees cheat and log much more than actually worked. Every minute must be accounted for.

Pros

Steady paycheck. Working with new technologies.

Cons

They have hired C level management that does not have a single clue how to run an AV company. There was a reason the last company let you go. You care less about family and long term employees. You will cut them at the drop of the hat. Since Covid-19 we all get pay cuts and no PTO unless you earn it. If you get Covid-19 on the job take your own time off. We may give you 5 days from a donated pool but don’t count on it. Thanksgiving and or Christmas with your family in 2020 forget it...No earned PTO yet. Oh wait we are going to send out a new PTO policy sometime soon. During the Great Diversified COVID-19 cuts. They have had a first round of terminations. All done on a schedule to limit paying the terminated employees. Then come the furloughs with the promise. We will bring you back. It is only temporary. 90 days later when the FPUA 600 supplement is gone. Fire them that are not back to work. That was on the same day the federal benefits ended. Now they are attacking middle managers. Secret meetings saying we don’t need this manager or this director. Company is cash poor. About to go out of business. To many loans and investments that are close to default. My estimate is bankrupt in April or May of 2021.
