Pros

I've been working at DoiT for many years now, and have been through up and down (up until now, mostly up) I can say that there are several reasons I still love it here :) 1. The company owner/founder is super techy; he is still hands-on. Still writing code and participating in (almost) all Slack conversations. That is leading by example. 2. The company is constantly evolving and adapting to technology and market needs/shifts. This might not be suitable for everyone; you need to be quick, agile and think on the move. I love this approach :) 3. Company is remote first (some will say remote only), you can work from anywhere, just doo a great job and coordinate with your manager ;) 4. Really great people, technically speaking and (I think more important most times) team players. The company has grown to almost 700 people, but there isn't a corporate vibe; people know each other and love helping. This is one of the company's values. 5. The Startup vibe is still there - if you're looking for a place to be heard and make an impact, DoiT is the place for you. Just be ready for a challenge, as there are some real heavy hitters here :), a great place to hone your skills :) Bottom line, if you know how to work from remote, love working with a team of great minds, can handle a quick pace, on-the-go work and rise to any challenge offered, DoiT is a place you should consider :)

Cons

There are several cons, which are the otherside of the Pros I stated... Remote-only - After five years of working remotely, I can say with certainty that this is not suitable for everyone. DoiT is working great remotely; the tools to support it are in place. But it is different and requires different skills, from communication and self-management. Startup state of mind - Things are moving fast, really fast, and the time from "thought" to "decision" to "execute" is rapid, sometimes rapid. If you are looking for a place to relax and watch the emails go by, it might not be a good fit. Need to be flexible - it is not about the speed or volume of work; it is about the agility of the mind. Not everyone thrives in an environment that is evolving quickly; others bloom. I think it is worth considering. I personally don't like being in one place for too long, and DoiT allowed me to be in DoiT for many years, but I do so many different things that I never got bored :

Pros

The company is fully remote and flexible, making it easy to maintain a healthy work-life balance. The people are genuinely great to work with—collaborative, supportive, and always willing to help. The environment is fast-paced, with plenty of interesting projects, and there are real opportunities to own features end-to-end and make a meaningful impact. Leadership is transparent and communicates openly about direction and decisions.

Cons

Being fully remote can sometimes feel isolating, and it would be nice to have occasional opportunities to meet colleagues in person.

Pros

After working here for over four years, I can confidently recommend this company. From an engineering perspective, the company actively stays up to date with modern tools and technologies. When Cursor became popular, they offered paid licenses to all engineers, and they were flexible and supportive when I wanted to switch between different development tools. This showed a non-rigid structure that values individual productivity rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all setup. Day-to-day work is very positive. The company offers flexible working hours and operates on a high level of trust. I’m not expected to constantly be at my laptop. During major deployments, I may choose to monitor logs or Slack to ensure things run smoothly, but it feels voluntary rather than enforced. Employee input is genuinely respected. During a recent internal team merger, I was given the choice to move to a new area or stay where I was, and my decision was honored. I also feel well supported in learning and professional growth. Unlike previous roles where stagnation led me to move on quickly, this company keeps its tech stack modern and evolving, which keeps the work engaging. Career progression is handled fairly, with management roles often filled internally, reinforcing a strong sense of opportunity and fairness.

Cons

The high level of trust and flexibility means you’re expected to manage your own time and priorities, which can be hard at first if you prefer very clear structure or a lot of guidance. That said, if you’re comfortable managing your own time, are curious by nature, and enjoy staying up to date with modern tech, you’ll likely feel right at home.
