Pros

Doist is a fully-remote company focused on asynchronous work so you're very autonomous in how to organize your work week. The culture is very intentional and caring and the team is composed of wonderfully kind and talented people. The work is very varied and you get multiple opportunities to work on exciting challenges and to grow.

Cons

If you don't like working remotely and if you're neither driven nor autonomous, this is probably not the role for you.

Pros

- Well developed asynchronous culture and management - Great company culture - Great salary, bonus and perks - Openness to diversity and inclusion (still under development)

Cons

- Whilst there is openness to purpose changes to practices or policies, sometimes it's hard to really make changes to practices and policies - Understaffed teams make the work routine overwhelming - Huge legacy systems developed with no good software engineering practices make it really hard to maintain and improve them - No prioritization to address historical technical debts (related to item 2 above)

Was an amazing place to work

Pros

I had to leave because of personal reasons, but it was an amazing place to work with talented colleagues and people who were respectful of my time and ability.

Cons

It was a bit too async. Sometimes there were tons of delays waiting for a resolution when all it took was a simple video call.
