Pros

I absolutely love my customers and coworkers.

Cons

Expectations from corporate are extremely higher than the payroll and tools given to do the job. Keeping employees is often hard due to lack of hours available to give them. If you have a minimum hour store most days it's 2 employees only a cashier and the manager. Backroom expectations are hard to maintain due to abundance of packaways and the amount of overstock freight that's constantly being sent. It can be done but then the sales floor expectations aren't met. Ex. Capshelves, Stackouts, etc. Managers are often overworked trying to meet the expectations with little to no reward other than being burned out and belittled by higher management. The corporate office has nice facilities and the staff is treated to accommodations that the store employees are left without when the stores are the ones making their paychecks. Most stores are extremely cold in winter and hot in summer restrooms are often messed up and unavailable. When you reach out for assistance you are treated like a bum off the street asking for something.

Pros

the people you rub shoulders with

Cons

pretty much everything else…you will work with minimal payroll and be expected to get it done which means you will work over your salary hours.for the roles they do not pay much you can almost get double for the same role somewhere else..their inventory system is horrible they will tell you they know that we are getting sent to much but still want it empty and they have no SOP for back stock..upper management is kinda clueless on what’s going on in the store (kinda normal for big companies) but if you have experience in retail and business management go some where else you will be waisting your talents they bribe the people with experience by telling us that they hire from within which they do not..they will hire outside and say in a meeting that the person was a better option then all the store managers in the district..im planning on leaving my self

Pros

Work from home and hybrid are options for a lot of positions. The office is very new and looks nice. The executives *seem* to be wanting to improve things for employees but it's definitely a slow moving process...

Cons

No training plan for most jobs. You just get shown very basic steps and you kinda have to figure out the rest on your own. There's no mentorship to develop employees to be able to grow and pursue other opportunities within the company. Pay is extremely low considering in some jobs you are expected to be on-call and available 24 hours a day.
