Pros

This is a good company to get your career path started but is not a place to stay. There is a lot of information to retain, expectations ridiculously high, and there is a lot for you to learn. Be prepared to never be have full knoweldge of certain aspects of things because of the cycical nature of Dominion's Business, managers are always behind the curve when it comes to Dominion's Business model because it is outdated. The benefits - medical, dental, and vision are very good. The company also has a 401K plan. As with any company, the cost of having those benefits go up almost every year.

Cons

Senior Management teams like to micro-manage and do not put much trust in middle management personnel. You are nailed to the cross on minute mistakes, even if you are honest and admit to making them. Praise from Senior Management is a foriegn term and act - they just do not do it. If you are unhappy, they do not care nor do they try to offer support and remedy the situation - they'll just replace you with someone who they can pay less so that they are able to show a profit to the prospective buyers who are looking to buy this company.

Pros

New technology and resources that are useful for upper end IT professionals to be familiar with. They have some of the most modern equipment available in the area, even if they aren't utilizing it today.

Cons

Upper management doesn't seem to trust employees, even senior level staff are treated like little kids. With so many rules and inexperienced workers it's often compared to working at a fast food restaurant.

Pros

Gain industry knowledge and experience; the company offers a competitive benefits package the opportunity is conditionally there for advancement opportunities; you do gain hands-on experience in learning all the aspects of your job; you learn patience and tolerance. The business is cyclical in nature and is ever-changing which teaches you to adapt quickly. Stability was my reason for working for the company, unfortunately, there feeling of uncertainty overpowers the feeling of stability and being wanted. You learn entreprenurial skill sets which are transferable in your career path whether it be with Dominion Enterprises or with another company outside of it.

Cons

Lack of communication and lack of trust and confidence in the management teams
