Pros

The benefits are great Positive interactions and collaborations between different divisions They are doing more to boost moral and to get everyone to network with each other Management takes the time to get to know the employees Recognized for talents Positive and encouraging atmosphere

Cons

The unpaid holidays aren't the greatest but hopefully it's helping to prevent lay offs It would be nice if there were more microwaves Work can sometimes be interrupted by the construction going on in downtown Norfolk Updated computers and software would be an area of improvement The money sometimes spent on large meetings could be spent in other ways and a memo sent out to cover the meeting's information

Lots of Opportunities

Pros

Very nice work environment, paid parking, a lot of training available, opportunities across the organization if you want to take advantage of them. It's tough in this economy to grow the businesses since we are a mixture of print and internet.

Cons

Benefits could be more flexible (like selling back vacation you can't use), dress code could be relaxed a bit, and flexible hours to help with traffic congestion in Norfolk.

Pros

Their employees' feedback is considered and implemented. They promote from within and respect each other. They tend not to "micro-manage." They stay ahead of the game when it comes to technology and definitely continue to maintain a competitive edge over our direct competition in the market.

Cons

I hate to complain, because overall I am happy with Dominion, but our pay structure needs to be re-evaluated. The way an AE makes money is not their salary, but their sales commission. However, with Dominion, you basically start over at the beginning of each year, so you are can't help but feel very limited at what you can earn. Sorry, but a salesperson is very motivated by money, and if you don't have that, it makes it difficult to stay with this organization for very long.
