This lab has an incredibly high turnover. It is a rotating door of microbiologists and supports. Senior supervisors push for hiring people with degrees but don't have degrees themselves. The work is very repetitive and can be boring. Management tends to discourage conversation even if work is being done. You can't listen to music and often work in silence. Ask the same question to different members of management and you will hear different answers. Supervisors sometimes speak unprofessionally about and to employees. Poor management personnel are not removed, their behavior is excused due to seniority. There is no set end time - you leave when dismissed. New supports work 1pm-close which can be as late as midnight. Do not work here unless you are desperate for money or need experience to get into better company. There is no future in this company due to small size and limited positions available.
