Leadership micromanages, blames their own failings upon their reports. Out right lying and gaslighting happening on some teams. Unlimited vacation with no official holidays sounds great until you get a meeting invite on a federal holiday. There's definitely some cool kids clubs that are preferred by the CEO. Rule #1 also sounds great but only if you follow through and actually fire them. Apparently some people are too valuable so it doesn't apply to them. Diversity doesn't exist, expect a bunch of white dudes. Revolving door in some areas. If you're firing that many people maybe it's not them, it's you.

Amazing mission to safeguard civilization with high tech resources and at least a verbal acknowledgment that employees are humans with lives outside of work...

Cons

...that immediately disappears inside organizational units to an aversion to ownership, horrific top-down communication, and very little big-picture thinking. If your work supports the business, consider that you'll be under a CEO without private sector experience and many of the folks around him are from large enterprises or the military. Some of the previous reviews mention the work expectations for a startup, but it's less a volume issue than how it's getting done - and leadership is hiring enterprise people into an enterprise framework expecting them to do startup work, without the support of either kind of org. All of the dysfunction and frustration of large AND small companies with very few of the benefits!
