Pros

There are talented people at Draper that aim to do good work.

Cons

The most senior leaders at Draper appear to be completely oblivious about how poor the culture within the organization is. This leaves Draper completely incapable, at the moment, to make any substantive changes to improve its culture. This isn't simply a diversity issue, because even the people from the majority demographics understand how toxic the culture has become over the past decade or so. The would-be change-agents in the organization are not empowered to change it, and the most empowered people there are either complete impediments to change or unaware/unwilling of how dire things are. It's no surprise that trust within the organization has deteriorated, and that people from all demographics are increasingly deciding to try their hand elsewhere.

Pros

Great Location, Great Benefits, Great Engineers

Cons

Diversity is just a word here. Women are second class citizens, (women treat women terribly at all levels). 99% of managers are only in it for themselves, they don't actually have the qualifications or skill sets to manage people. That why there is such a big exodus from the company. Bad managers kiss up to keep their jobs. If there was a 360 review process, Draper could probably clean house to recruit managers that actually care about developing and mentoring their employees.

Pros

Good benefits. Good care for employees. Many smart people. Mostly good coworkers. Flexible work hours. Some managers work for their employees and try to help them succeed. Company striving for a diverse workforce. Great location if want to be in the heart of a big city.

Cons

Very poor raises, especially compared with area cost-of-housing increases. Raises aren't correlated with performance in practice, which limits motivation. Promotions are rare beyond a certain level. A few employees are misogynist. Poor organization of who works what project, and you have to sell yourself within the company to get work. Some managers are bullies. Many employees feel company has gone a bit downhill in last decade, and time will tell what new President brings in 2021+. Bad location if want to live in the suburbs.
