Pros

Good, caring people (faculty and staff) in the schools and administrative departments

Cons

Leadership that is out of touch with workforce; that implements their plans with no regard for impact on workforce; culture of intimidation and punitive response to any form of challenges. Pay: unless you are in a high level leadership role or a tenured faculty position, pay is average to below average. Health benefits are good. Retirement benefits are excellent. Don't expect a merit raise anytime soon (unless you are in senior leadership).

Pros

Great students who are easy to want to support.

Cons

Upper Administration is living fat on the hog at the expense of front line staff. Doubled freshmen class to point students living in substandard housing but no money for raises except for executives. Employees who are older or high paid typically are laid off under false pretenses in order to make the numbers work, and younger, lower paid hires quickly fill their slots. Horrible morale if you really want to be in a higher ed environment that lifts up students and staff.

grossly underpaid

Pros

occasionally rewarding work with students, good colleagues, predictable, manageable hours.

Cons

Drexel has layers of (mostly white male) leadership who are way overpaid on the backs of other peoples' underpaid hard work. No one cares about you if you work there, except maybe your direct supervisor, who is also underpaid.
