Pros

Decent health benefits, nice holiday parties, opportunity to learn a lot, cordial VP and CEO, fun co-workers and good volunteer opportunities.

Cons

Minimal paid time off, health benefits could have been better, training was lacking and encouragement was non-existent, wish I'd had a different boss.

We're sorry to hear that it sounds like you had a "meh" time while employed with us. Sounds like you enjoyed our culture while the "perks" were on the disappointing side of things. We really appreciate the candid feedback and wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.

Pros

This is great place to start your career in sales, and if your want to go into management the opportunity is always there. Great work life balance for most of the year.

Cons

Management is young talent you will have to deal with some unprofessionalism and favoritism as a sales advisor because Sales Managers control the leads and will give them to the Sales Advisors the have personal relationships with.

Pros

Great work environment, job security (the company expanded during the "great recession"), fun work environment, the company helps you to develop and grow with the company, good opportunities for career growth. On the management side you can really learn a lot about running a business.

Cons

DriveTime has come to rely so heavily on data, charts, and graphs that it feels like you can be micromanaged. Long hours, especially during tax season (up to 55-60 hours per week) become overwhelming to the mind and body. The company expects more and more but gives you less and less for what you do! While the company is having their most profitable year ever, the guys at the top are enjoying their HUGE bonuses while the front line retail employees get paid even less to do more work.

We appreciate your honest feedback. In regards to data, we want to be as efficient as we can in, but we do see how it can seem like we are micromanaging. That’s not our intention. We are taking steps to make tax season less stressful for our retail employees, including the possibility of switching to flexible hours, so please know that your concerns have been noted and we are actively working to provide a better balance. Our company-wide bonus structured is reviewed annually and modified to reward everyone as fairly as possible.
