Pros

- Seriously the people. Colleagues are humble, very smart and friendly. If you have feedback, you are encouraged to share it and people are thankful for it. It is a really nice, friendly and fun environment to work in. - Hypergrowth mentality. Dropbox has gone through incredible growth and you are encouraged to chase the next big idea to foster that. - Perks. Very well known to a lot of people, the Tuck Shop serves the best corporate food (can only speak for Dublin and SF). Office gym and classes are incredible.

Cons

- Lacking international representation in management as they are mostly Irish. This is a more recent development so would be great to see talents from all over EMEA leaning in as Dublin is the international HQ.

Pros

-Good Benefits -Smart and friendly teammates -Food

Cons

-There is zero investment in career and personal development. No mentorship program, no rotations, almost no trainings/education programs, no coaching program etc. -Culture is not mature and stabilized. One single role change in the director or manager level completely changes that team's structure and culture. -You have to be close friends with management otherwise you are clearly being excluded. Managers behave differently to people who become close friends with them. It reflects to performance reviews and in time this situation starts to become a type of discrimination. -Product is nice but it doesn't have a competitive advantage against the other cloud storage solutions like Google Drive, Box, OneDrive, iCloud. So it doesn't feel like there is a bright future for the next 10 years. -HR is still very insufficient to create an equal opportunity environment and a stabilized culture that is built on trust.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are definitely in a hyper growth phase, so we know there is still a lot of growing to do, but we’re excited about the opportunity to make the way we work better. We do value the career pathing & growth opportunities of all Dropboxers, and are currently working on further developing the Learning & Development org.

Pros

I miss the people of Dropbox badly. They're some of the best & brightest. The benefits and perks are off the charts. There's a culture of transparency that's pretty impressive for a company of its size and influence.

Cons

Many of the leaders have little to no experience outside of Dropbox. The lack of structure & role clarity is sometimes worn as a badge of honor, but it often leads to duplicate work, cyclical feedback, and stunted professional growth. I was really sad to say goodbye to my coworkers, but extremely eager to go somewhere more mature.
