Pros

Great personal crew and management. Easy to get time off or find people to cover your shifts. If it’s busy you can make pretty good tips. 10% commission off product sales.

Cons

You will be required squeeze in new appointments or work faster to keep the shop on time. Sometimes making it hard to Catch your breath. Ultimately it’s hard on your body and not a full time career, you definitely develop wrist problems over time from all the wear.

Not What You Think

Pros

Flexible with days and hours

Cons

You're told one thing when you start and it ends up being very different. First of all, why do we need to clock out for a half hour break if we're not even working an 8 hour shift? Our tips should be given to us at the end of each night. We're not making minimum wage. Things are very unorganized. I think it could be more professional. Not once since I started has someone asked me how I'm doing and if I need help learning anything. You're basically just thrown into working right away without the proper training and knowledge.
