Pros

Benefits Duke name Beautiful campus Good clinical care provided

Cons

I've worked here for over a decade and had some really great work experiences. However, the last couple years have taken a turn for the worse as new senior leadership within my department joined. I have never felt less valued. Toxic work environment. Preferential treatment to select employees coming from senior leader's prior organization. Limited opportunity for advancement. Losing providers, nurses, and other staff left and right with significant concerns with the remaining employees' well-being.

Pros

It's the biggest hospital in the area so you get to see some interesting referral cases

Cons

Duke believes their name is a strong enough pull to get people to work for them. They don't pay competitively and their benefits are average.
