Pros

Free coffee on shift was great - as well as discount on food items during shift.

Cons

The owner of my location limited how many people could be scheduled so the mornings were ALWAYS understaffed. This meant balancing taking orders, operating register, and making food/drinks all at once during the most busy times of day. There were always several other staff who were really unpleasant to work with - some who were just lazy and one who was extremely homophobic with no discipline. Despite doing management work, there were never any opportunities to be promoted to be paid for it. This location also didn’t have a tip jar, so the only people who ever got tips were people doing the easiest jobs of just running register.
