Pros

Duolingo has some of the nicest, hardest working people that I have ever known. The mission of free education is awesome.

Pros

- Duolingo is full of self-driven individuals who are very intelligent, creative, and personable. - Everyone has the opportunity to make a large impact. - Great ideas go from conception to implementation very quickly. - Continuing education is strongly encouraged. - The main office is extremely conducive to getting work done. It's open, airy, has plenty of sunlight, and is quiet throughout most of the day. - The benefits and organized events are top-notch.

Cons

One of the downsides of having so many driven people in a company is that most of us work a little too much, but we definitely have a lot of fun doing it!

Pros

- The opportunity to actually contribute to a worthwhile mission of free language education for the work that all of your coworkers believe in 100%. - Working with talented, motivated, and intelligent people. - Code you write may be deployed and start benefiting millions within the same day. Duolingo provides the opportunity to have actual impact. - An excellent culture of camaraderie, anti-bureaucracy, and fun! Catered daily lunches with all coworkers around the same table. Dinner if you want to stay late. - Flexible hours, great benefits, awesome and frequent social events. - The honor of working for a down-to-earth, genuine, and truly compassionate CEO.

Cons

Many of us are slight workaholics because we enjoy our jobs so much. It is sometimes difficult to balance a personal life outside of work.
