Pros

I've been at Duolingo a short amount of time, but it's been hands-down the best experience I could have ever asked for in a job. From the start, not only did Luis make me feel welcome but all the employees did as well. I enjoy coming in to work every day and I never think twice about staying late. I enjoy being at work, working on an amazing product that truly is making a difference, and working with all around good and genuine people. Duolingo is an amazing company, doing great things, making huge strides, and going places. It's wonderful to be a part of a team that's so passionate about making a difference.

Cons

None.. Duolingo is doing everything right. They treat their employees great and with respect.

Pros

Everyone's friendly with each other, the team eats lunch together every day, etc. The team really cares about data and making changes that scale Somewhat flexible hours Fast moving - things happen in a very short time, no bureaucracy Freedom to innovate and make suggestions Luis von Ahn is really accessible as a CEO

Cons

Though the mission is exciting, sometimes it feels a bit dogmatic. Everyone hangs out with each other so it can get to be a bit insular.
