We take recognition and career advancement seriously. High performance is an expectation and a necessity at Dutchie, and we tie achievement of performance goals to total rewards, including cash compensation, equity, benefits, skills development, and career progression opportunities. Diversity & Inclusion efforts are also incredibly important, and we have invested in company wide training on a quarterly basis that covers topics like unconscious bias and allyship. We track our D&I efforts and share a report annually with employees.

Pros

I met some wonderful people.

Cons

Challenging due to the lack of structure, with minimal time allocated for tasks. Working 12-14 hour days is necessary to keep up. Expected to respond to emails and Slack while out of the office or on vacation. Minimal guidance provided for success, and excessive questioning is discouraged. The work environment lacks teamwork, encouraging individual work rather than collaboration, contributing to a toxic atmosphere.

Thank you for sharing your review. We encourage all employees to lean on our value "Be Direct, With Empathy" to share real time feedback directly, and one of our most celebrated values is "We Not I," as we're all one team focusing on a common goal. We want everyone at Dutchie to enjoy Flexible Time Off and prioritize mental health so they can bring their best selves to work. We’d love to hear more about how you’re feeling - if you’re comfortable, our People Team would love to hear from you and chat more about your experience.

Pros

The people are great, and the benefits are amazing (including some of the best mental health insurance I've ever seen)

Cons

It's the cannabis industry, so it's high stress and can oftentimes feel unfulfilling if you don't keep your wits about you. Being in tech, and that tech being tethered to a volatile industry like cannabis, you're bound to have lots of bugs and issues pertaining to regulations. That's the industry as a whole, and isn't a representation of Dutchie. So, if you don't like rapid change and pivoting on a moment's notice, this probably isn't for you, but the support system here was unreal. The teams care, management cares, and they're all in this together. It can be overwhelming, yes, but it's 2023 and kinda everything is right now. But Dutchie has its head in the right place, leaders who want to do great things, and I really think they're going to come out of this better on the other side.

Thank you for sharing this review and for your positive sentiments! Taking care of our employees through benefits and wellness is a priority, and we take mental health seriously (including awareness and panel discussions, too). You hit the nail on the head with regards to the industry and rapid pace of changes. We have an incredible team at Dutchie and have seen time and again how they come together to put our customers first, and roll with the changes as smoothly and quickly as possible.
