Pros

Great talent. Competent managers. Company culture includes civic involvement, friendly people, a mostly 40-hour work week for salaried employees, and a good employee association. Expect a stable job with some opportunity for growth. Engineers can also enjoy a variety of projects with exposure to many different sensor technologies. In particular, this would be a great place for a junior engineer to get some experience.

Cons

Top management tend to be lifelong employees who don't have experience outside the organization. So occasionally the company will make top-down decisions without much input from experts.

Pros

Dwyer's employees are like a big family. Managment is concerned about the employees and their problems. They provide advise and assistance whenever possible and time off to attend to personal matters

Cons

Their compensation, while adequate, is a little low compared to some other companies. I('d suggest doing a market survey to determine what other companies acoss the country are paying for simular positions. For skilled Engineers Dwyer is competing with high tech companies on both coast and in Texas. Compared to the compensation these hi tech companies offer Dwyer's is a little low. This hurts their competitiveness in getting the best and brightest engineers
