Pros

There are some really awesome and humble people at this site who are so good at their positions it is not obvious unless you go somewhere else. The talent of the operators and maintenance people in the site is mind blowing. If you want to see teamwork just show up and watch this team resolve an operational or maintenance problem!

Cons

The Nitrogen industry is cyclic, and customers are fickle. There is not always enough momemtum within the commodities market to reward the efforts of employees each year for what they accomplish.

Pros

Allows full time remote work

Cons

Multiple rounds of layoffs and huge turnover in just a year and a half. There is a huge disconnect between corporate and everyone else. Decisions are made at the very top and when those don't work out well, corporate doesn't listen to anyone outside headquarters why it didn't work. Similarly, in my department, every single issue went all the way up to a VP before a decision was made and management inbetween was too timid to take action or responsibility. The VP then only heard the two sentence summary of it after being passed up the line. So, they would make the "correct but only on paper" decision that ultimately ignores the nuance of the problem at hand and makes it worse.

Pros

Absolutely nothing that would make it worth being there. I don’t like writing negative comments but it’s International Women’s Day & if I can help a female not have to experience them it’s justifiable.

Cons

It will take time to realize how you’re being treated, devalued and undermined. So many companies are not great for women. but this is up there. It’s similar to working for a military related company and assuming somehow women are going to be treated with respect & dignity. We were humiliated on a regular basis. It’s a bunch of smiles at first until it’s too late. Those that stay experience mental health issues and/or disassociate from being completely miserable.
