- Expats who have never been to or work in Asia. No or little cultural initiation programmes to orientate them. No EQ in people management due to cultural differences. - Management practices that are at least a century behind. Controls employees like a school discipline master. Zero tolerances on being late. A minute late will get you into the black book. - Lack of trust. Always believes that Brit thinking is far superior than the locals. Plenty of micro managing. Not opened to new ideas or inputs from employees especially those who have multiple Multi National Companies experiences. - Certain level of integrity issues within management team here. "Protect your own kind" seems to be the mantra. Quick to cover up for their kind but quick to fire the locals over trivial issues. Certain management team members enjoy greater priviledges. - Being vocal is asking for trouble.
