Pros

Excellent products, they really do what a vacuum is intended to do. They push the envelope to innovate any product that they intend to improve. Company car, Cell Phone allowance (capped), Meeting new people every work day, not stuck in a office & bright colorful vacuums to sell.

Cons

Like the American posted... extremly micromanaged, The ability to determine your own routing is squelched. We have to see stores (every 30 days in most cases) that don't care when visit because they can't even sell water to a parched Arab. When you have to drive 120km to a store that does not even carry your product & Dyson is too lazy to remove it from your territory and then tells you to just "Check" on the store your next scheduled trip. Something is definately wrong. We have to Train a certain amount of employees per visit, it is not always possible. We have to create extra displays, when there is no stock available, in that case we are instructed to build empty display boxes. Makes sense right? We have to coherse a certain amount of dealers to sign-up each year. No vacuum shops, sign-up a pet store! We have to plan trainings & train a certain amount of people per year. Thats great if you are not traveling 80% of your time. We have to plead with district managers to let us run sales contests in their stores, and if the sales happen to drop the contest & prizes promised... Voided We quite frequently recieve e-mails requesting lenghtly or detailed information the day of or on a Friday evening, which means you better check your e-mails before you grab a Carlsberg beer. Remember, YOUR IDEAS aren't great idea's until they are finally stolen by the corporate management of your company! BAD IDEAS are the one's that management see's on, say... Twitter and then implement's them for the benefit of the employees in the field! There is more & I really am based in the USA vicinity. No active employee in their right mind would admit where they actually worked out of. Can you say "Immediate Downsize!"

Pros

Great Product. Accounts and customers love it. Easy to be loved. You get lots of hotel points because you will be traveling about 75% of the time.

Cons

Pay is about 2/3 or less that what account reps make in this line of work. Travel is horrible, started off as a great company ended up as a micromanaged nightmare. 95% of all field employees are looking for new jobs.
