OK job, not a place you can make a career

Pros

I worked in the field, so I could set my own schedule for the most part. The company car was also nice.

Cons

You will not see the bonuses they tout during your interview. They never tell you what the goal is or what you hit, they just tell you it wasn't met. There really aren't many ways to move up unless the manager over you is fired or quits and they happen to be in your area. My job was primarily to clean vacuums in retailers and not "sales" like they claim. Not hard work, but it is boring and you will touch a lot of gross stuff cleaning those vacuums! Much lower pay than similar job titles at other companies.

We appreciate your feedback. The Territory Sales Managers are responsible for representing the Dyson brand and increasing sales in our retail stores. One part of that does include ensuring our machines on display are clean and presentable. Also, we are happy to report that one-third of our open positions are filled by internal candidates. Almost half of our field sales management team has moved up and across into management from other roles at Dyson. We have continued to invest in leadership development for all functions - all while motivating and engaging the great people we have! For example, managers at all levels participated recently in a leadership development workshop called Leading Leaders. Thanks again, and best of luck to you!

Very good company with some annoying issues

- Highly educated, talented colleagues who are a joy to work with - Interesting and challenging projects - Huge potential in the company - Fun place in general - Generous staff sales scheme - Environmentally conscious company - Big emphasis of fairness and correctness

Cons

People management is poor on both higher and middle levels of management, which can have long lasting negative effects on carrier progress.
