The pay is decent, but animals at the zoo get treated better than employees here

At E2 you'll always be walking on eggshells and the whole jobsite feels like alcatraz. Management and HR demonstrate a complete disregard for employee well-being, treating field technicians with contempt and a lack of respect. Their actions are often cruel and dehumanizing, leaving one to question their own morality. Even using the restroom is subject to excessive control, requiring permission, an escort, and takes at least 10 minutes to get escorted, they take your time too. This level of micromanagement extends to all aspects of the workday, with constant surveillance and a barrage of ever-changing rules designed to exert absolute control over employees. The higher their position is, the more of a snake they are, that's basically how you climb the ladder in this company, by being a snake and putting people against each other. Safety is merely a pretense to maintain lucrative contract$$$. PPE is now the employee's responsibility, even when osha says it's the employers responsability to provide PPE for the job. They will go to Extreme lengths to make sure they have total control of every single employee and I'm not even exaggerating about this. The ideal employee in this toxic environment is a workaholic who thrives on excessive overtime and willingly submits to the demands of an abusive management style. I've worked in so many construction sites over the years, and nothing comes close to this level of insanity, most of the employees are completely aware of this but everyone is afraid to speak up. This is simply a labor job, but it's intentionally designed to make each workday a miserable experience. Management should go to the field, starting with the whale from HR, work for a week and see if they like being degraded, treated like a kid and disrespected all day.

Cons

Would not recommend working at this company. They change comp plans and they do not follow through on what they promise. People are laid off all the time and just disappear from the organization. It is not a stable working environment.

Thank you for your feedback. We always want to hear comments from our current and past employees, especially when it’s a potential area of growth. Unfortunately, your comments are a bit difficult to address. In the last year we have not rolled out any new compensation plans. We have revised incentive programs for certain, non-field related job positions, and have worked with those affected in order to hear their feedback and make adjustments accordingly. We are receiving very positive responses to those changes. It is not our practice to make promises. We do, however, provide information that will enable our employees to grow, learn, course correct, and plan for their career at E2 Optics. We are sorry you felt mislead. Any additional information you care to provide would assist us in improving our communications. Regarding layoffs, towards year end, we did make some labor adjustments as we went into our first quarter slow season (which didn’t turn out to be slow at all!). However, those adjustments were largely made by reducing our contract labor, not our payroll employee base. We wish you the best with your future endeavors.

entry to hyperscale data center telecommunications work

toxic management and lack of communication. You either are verbally abused and told to act like a real man or you are just let go after drama happens. If you disagree or refuse they will argue with you until you are suspended or sent home for the day to get your head on straight and they like to play favorites. It would have not been a bad job if not for a serious employee drama that happen whom tried to bring the whole company down and tarnished my name forcing me to grow tired and leave the company. However doing so caused me to be considered no longer rehirable when i was proven innocent. Job was okay for the handful who grew tired of the management and just focused on work But even still with the current new management, they do not like and may consider leaving or relocating at some point in the future.
