Great Employees but Underwhelming Pay

Pros

All departments are full of likeable and enjoyable people. Team work is easy, and team mates are very helpful. Direct managers are friendly and easy to work with. Company also takes employee engagement seriously. There are plenty of fun events to partake in. PTO is very generous. I've been open to other job opportunities in the past, and whenever other companies send offers, I frequently turn them down due to insufficient PTO. EAB definitely does well in this category and provides a substantial amount.

Cons

Pay feels very underwhelming, especially for the work that I do. Our department has been told that we're a critical pillar of the company, but the pay doesn't reflect that. Admittedly, this feels exploitative, and it seems to allude to an issue with senior management. Senior leadership frequently lauds and praises its employees, but then fails to substantiate that praise in a meaningful way. Some employees were let go when COVID hit, but then a few months later, several multi-million dollar acquisitions of other companies were announced. This seems to be contrary to the spirit of generosity that the company lists as one of it's defining virtues. The company also doesn't shy away from politics. It's clear that the company (particularly upper management) is quite liberal, and that makes for an environment that feels unwelcoming to any dissenting viewpoints. This is ironic, considering the company's commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Pros

Great community among employees Awesome campus (Free Starbucks coffee but still from a machine, no barista included) Interesting work Successful business and as an employer this company is very stable Friendly work environment Food trucks arrive most days to provide a different option for your lunch

Cons

Workload is variable but can be extremely heavy at certain times of the year Very low salaries(even for the area) and expect to be low balled if hired Benefits are just ok Systems and processes are extremely out of date, this makes the everyday job way more difficult than it should be Not much vertical mobility Poor training/ramp up processes for new employees Huge disconnect between most employees and upper management Senior staff is not as knowledgeable as they should be, but mainly due to the outdated processes and systems Constantly loses employees due to reasons above. This results in heavy workloads for others that remain on with the company

Pros

- You get to work from home

Cons

Working at EAB has been one of the most frustrating professional experiences of my career and I'm SO glad I'm quitting soon. Here’s why: You’re regularly assigned work with little to no quality assurance, which leads to endless back-and-forth questions and confusion. The company is obsessed with meetings. Entire days are eaten up by Zoom calls that add no value and derail actual productivity. Processes are painfully inefficient, redundant, and outdated – it feels like running in circles just to get basic tasks done. Micromanagement is rampant. Instead of trusting employees to own their work, leaders hover over every small decision, creating a suffocating environment. Training is practically non-existent, and when it is offered, it’s led by contractors who clearly don’t care and just go through the motions. There’s no real investment in developing employees. You’re expected to somehow figure it out on your own in a broken system, and when things go wrong, leadership is quick to blame rather than support.
