Pros

I am in new system sales. I have read some reviews on here from salespeople. I wanted to add my two cents for balance. The quotas here are not unattainable. When you exceed those quotas (which I do) a salesperson can achieve a high total compensation number. On my quota of less than $1M in new sales, I have taken home nearly 1/3 of that in total compensation. In addition the company takes my wife and I on an all expenses paid trip each summer, if I hit my number. This year we are going to Rome, Italy! I have friends at other companies with $2M quotas who don't W2 what I make at Eci. Additionally their Sales Club trip is in Hilton Head South Carolina. I am in the top 1% of wage earners and ECi is not actively working against my success, on the contrary...I would have to own my own business to make more money that I do here.

Cons

The Health Benefits could be better, as others have mentioned.

Pros

Co-workers are friendly, just steer clear of the kool-aid drinkers. Pay isn't everything, so if you know it's low going in, then it won't bother you.

Cons

Management is obsessed with being named a great place to work. The CRO has one message: go sell more. As a commission based salesperson, we already know that. As they've grown, they've struggled with incorporating employees who aren't in the Fort Worth office, especially the remote workers. If you're not in Fort Worth, you don't really feel like you're part of the company. They live by the philosophy that if you're in sales, if you want a raise then sell more. Problem is they raise quotas (on average 20%), but don't change OTE. As a result, you have to sell 20% more just to break even. Management wonders why there's employee churn, which in mind-boggling.

Pros

The customers would sometimes be very sweet people.

Cons

The companies yearly review system is pretty horrible. You write your own review. Then have your manager look at it and approve it. If you gave yourself scores that were too zealous they reject the review and make you lower your own score to ensure that you would not get a larger portion of the raise pot that was predetermined by the higher-ups. The whole review process takes about 6 weeks and basically means that their is very little room for improvement and on small teams, you are very unlikely to get a decent pay raise. So if you are living in a city where rent is rapidly going up, this is not a good company to work for.
