Profit over patients

Pros

The staff care about the patients

Cons

This company is more concerned with making profit than doing the right thing for its patients. Be prepared to hear how it's all the employees fault they aren't making a profit, and also that it is their responsibility to make up the deficiencies in their budget. No work life balance. Mandatory overtime whenever they feel like it, and multiple mandatory meetings and trainings on different days instead of grouping all on one day mean good luck getting any actual time off.

Pros

Level 1 trauma center. Room and opportunities for growth and experience. Follow policy to the letter, they will back you to the hilt. Your peers may be your best support.

Cons

Level 1 trauma center in a too large system. Disconnected leadership running a business. Staff will always be a replaceable warm body. Depending on the unit/department, accountability is virtually nonexistent and your peers could be your biggest enemy.
