Programmers wrote millions of lines of code without any routine or formal documentation which made change orders and QC and process improvement very difficult with no accountability and no proper project management; lots of inertia to change

great talent, relaxed work environment, good location in Silicon Valley

Cons

Employees should suck up to the boss,hard work is rarely recognized, employees who work are treated like work horses, management keeps saying that it's greatful to have a job in this economy even though the market is picking up and everyone is leaving EFI...unexperienced employees get promoted just because they are good buddies of upper management...

Pros

Employees are hard working and the majority are easy to work with.

Cons

Upper management does not value their employees. Most are seen as expendable assets and nothing more. This is made evident via the average pay increases and bonuses of 0 - 2%. Those that receive 1 - 2% are told that they are strong performers and are fortunate to have received this increase, as most received 0%. Engineers get a slightly higher range, but only slightly.
