For a claims professional, this is where to be. Most importantly, the caseload is more than manageable. You can actually provide the quality service that every company promises. No reason ever to put in long hours. You just handle claims, no micro managing like with third party administrators. There is actually life balance here. How many companies still have a pension? This one does and I guess there are a lot of people out that that are either too young to know what a pension is or don't get what a great benefit that is. In addition, there is a 401K with a 3% match, profit sharing which at times has been as high as 10%. And a decent raise every year. No promising a raise and then taking it back or finding a reason that there was not enough money for raises. A respectable salary. Health insurance is very good and reasonable premiums. They took an employee survey on benefits last year which said employees did not think they were getting enough PTO. Guess what within weeks, they increased the PTO plan significantly. A company that actually listens to the people and responds. This is a company where people get in here and stay for 20, 30, 40 years!
