      Keep a paper trail!

      Exposed to many different environmental opportunities.

      Cons

      Line managers will not keep their word. Keep an email trail to refer back to when promises are made. Will tell you first-year billable hours will not count against you and then use that as reason not to promote. You have to work 45-50 hours weekly for 52 weeks to be promoted.

      Salary Decision making isn't transparent Inefficient overall - if you had to depend on another team or function, whether the work would get done or not seemed to depend on whether they liked the person asking, rather than on the validity or importance of the work

      People doing day to day work are intelligent, driven, and very kind Team socialising is great Work is interesting and get to work with committed clients

      No time for learning and development No time for service development No recognition for the work you do beyond praise Performance rating entirely driven by billable hours Team leads have no power to change things Clunky organisational systems and processes Seems to be well known that you have to find ways to 'cheat the system' to progress Complete lack of diversity in socioeconomic and educational backgrounds, lack of ethnic diversity in partners and leaders Slow promotions that seem to be dependent on who your manager is
