Pros

Great mission and kind people. Some really fantastic clients and logos.

Cons

Retention - The turnover rate is 30%. If that doesn’t make you want to run, I don’t know what does. The company has absolutely no strategic vision. They aren’t growing like they use to and like they should and there is plan is place to make a change. The enterprise sales team ended the year at 50%. Unacceptable for an education technology company. No revenue leader. There is no CRO. They hired poorly and have no one setting the stage for what to do and how to do it. Comp plan & play is far below average. The woman who creates the comp plan has no prior experience in doing so. The bonuses were also issued on the half last year, and the majority of the team did not hit their numbers because they are unattainable. The idea here is “don’t expect your bonus”. Work life balance is a joke. They don’t honor your PTO at all and it’s expected that you work on days you are off and after hours. LEADERSHIP is awful. They have so many unqualified leaders in roles that do not have adequate experience to even be in individual contributor roles. Hire and pay people well and get the right folks in. The product is embarrassing - while the ideas are great the amount of product issues we have is unsurmountable. The AM team is constantly put in tough positions to apologize on behalf of the company. L&D. Just like strategy there is none. Please think twice before coming here and Tom please pay attention. EVERFI is getting a lot of attention and not in a good way. People talk.

Thank you for sharing your perspective with us. It is important to note that several of your statistics and assertions made about our people and organization are simply not factual including our voluntary turn over rate. Like any organization, we continue to focus on areas of improvement. Our leadership team has heard and acted on feedback regarding leadership, compensation, and benefits over the last year. We’re pleased by the growth we’ve made in all three areas and have received ample employee feedback to confirm we’re on the right path. As an organization, EVERFI lives by our mission and our values. We match this focus with a high-growth mindset. Building an education technology company that empowers lives and transforms communities, as we have over the last 13+ years, is not easy work. Our goals are large and our work is important to us, that’s true. While we value your opinion, EVERFI’s executive leadership team and the company has benefitted from making organizational changes at this juncture, to have our very best revenue leaders at the top of their respective businesses instead of one CRO. The best objective testimonial to our product, team, and success, is our customers’ happiness, impact to date, and repeat usage; all of which continues to grow. EVERFI prides itself on our focus on professional learning and growth, and more particularly, in employee ownership of that development. We’ve invested in building and expanding our learning and development offerings across the last few years to support the upward mobility of our employees. Our focus on a Learning and Development track for managers assures we are set to scale with the right tools and growth opportunities for those who oversee our teams. Additionally, we have deployed mental wellness programs for both our learners and our employees. During the last year, we offered multiple all-company days off outside of our regular holidays, added additional benefits for employees access to both coaching and counseling offerings, and created space for employees to successfully transition to remote work with the necessary tools and manager support required. At the end of the day, we can all acknowledge that the dynamic, challenging nature of our work is not for everyone, and that’s ok. If there are specific issues you would like to raise, we encourage you to reach out to our COO or Head of Talent to better understand and address your concerns.

Pros

Ability to work from home Learn skills that are transferable (like Salesforce) New products released often

Cons

Hard to fit in if you’re not part of the “best and brightest” crowd that is consistently celebrated Company is getting bigger and more important by the minute and relationships are secondary to that next big sale Management is passive aggressive and needs more training

Avoid Corporate Compliance (CC) team at all costs

Pros

Good benefits; other departments (besides CC) seem to be good places to work

Cons

Leadership on CC Team is combative, hostile and completely out of touch with the real world. They should take their own courses on how not to create a hostile work environment.
