Pros
Decent benefits even though only high deductible plans available. Great vacation policy (I had unlimited with manager discretion).
Cons
Severe lack of leadership. Manager left and went 9 months with no manager which left our team in limbo. HR gets too involved with hiring and not allowing department leaders decide who they want to hire. I was running the team for the 9 months with no manager and leader wanted to hire me into the position but HR wouldn't allow them because I had never been an official "people manager" even though I've managed contractor teams of over 100 people in the past. No advancement opportunities because HR is too involved.
