Pros

Decent pay and bonus. Some really good managers. Unlimited access to online learning. Company will reimburse certifications. 6% 401k match. Great place to get skills to find a good job.

Cons

Doesn't trust or value employees, was once told they had to hire outside staff because 'no current employee was smart enough'. RTO implemented knowing full well good employees would leave, no effort made to retain. Yearly survey is a joke, been on the survey committee and given specific instructions on things NOT to address. No RTO exceptions were given for employees with health or family issues showing how little they care. ' Unlimited PTO' is a benefit only to the company, it lowers company costs, no payout when leaving or if PTO denied. No seniority based benefits, length of employment irrelevant. Retirement packages only for upper level staff. Remote workers forbidden from moving 'without permission' to a limited number of locations regardless of seniority, skills, or length of time working remotely because HR is too lazy or incompetent to spend 2 hours setting up another state even if no income tax. Raises are limited unless getting promotion and capped unless someone wants to be in management. And the worst ... every couple of years, there is a management shift and the tooling/org shuffle begins anew. Yet nothing really changes and the same underlying problems continue to plague, employees forced to learn new tools every few years on their own with minimal direction and never getting adequate experience, old tools take years to go away with dwindling support. Unless there is some security issue then it's all hands on deck. Talented staff continue to support legacy systems without adequate resources because only the two 'star' products get resources.

Pros

Flexible working environment, if you need to step out for an appointment or take a kid to the doctor you can.

Cons

Long interview process, long onboarding process, not a lot of great internal communication, a lot of hollow platitudes, no clear advancement opportunities, very low compensation compared to other organizations, constant re-orgs.
